I consider myself personally as a trans-disciplinary artist and my primary goal is to facilitate behavioral awareness using arts and technology thru the humankind passageway. I like to create abstract- figurative into reconstructive artwork as a path to restore and envision an alternative society.
Gabriela created an Arts and Healing program for children in shelters who experienced sexual and substance abuse in Mexico. Today the Arts and healing program is benefiting the communities of Marshall Square and Little Village in Chicago.
For the last 3 years, she’s been participating as the Director of Creative Projects for OPEN Center for the Arts where she’s been leading programs like the Envisioning Justice, Arts,and Healing, One Summer Job Chicago, Artecito, El Jardin de Agua, among other public art projects. She’s, also participating in creating the Envisioning Justice Network with other organizations thru Illinois Humanities.
